Winger cuts short Foxes stint
Marco Ferreira has decided to cut short his loan spell at Leicester City and return to Benfica.
The Portuguese international winger was due to remain at the Walkers Stadium until June 2008, but after failing to settle in England the player has returned to his Portuguese parent club.
Ferreira has not featured for the Foxes' first team so far this season and it was agreed that a termination of the deal was best for both parties.
The necessary agreement between the two clubs has been pushed through quickly and the player will return to Benfica before the end of the week.
The midfielder has a contract at the Estadio da Luz until June 2009, and as he is currently surplus to requirements, there is a good chance that he will be loaned out to another Portuguese side in the near future.
