Defender to stay at Keepmoat

Doncaster have re-signed Matthew Mills on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season. The 21-year-old defender impressed manager Sean O'Driscoll during his initial six-month loan spell, when he scored twice in back-to-back games against Walsall and Cheltenham. Mills had made just one appearance for City last season and was allowed to leave on loan following the appointment of manager Sven Goran Eriksson in the summer. The centre-back, who has made 14 appearances for Doncaster, becomes O'Driscoll's first signing of the January transfer window as he attempts to strengthen his squad for the second half of the season. Mills also played on loan under O'Driscoll at Bournemouth before the Doncaster boss moved to the Keepmoat stadium in 2006.
