Johnson on target for Bulls
Simon Johnson scored the only goal of the game as League Two high-fliers Hereford dumped Tranmere out of the FA Cup to set up a fourth round clash with Cardiff. Winger Johnson weaved his way through the Rovers defence 18 minutes from time before unleashing a powerful 20-yard strike past goalkeeper Danny Coyne into the far corner of the net. Rovers wasted a host of chances, with their best efforts coming from strikers Gareth Taylor and Calvin Zola but Hereford's defence stood up to the pressure to gain a well deserved victory. Bulls goalkeeper Wayne Brown made a brave save at the feet of Zola in the first half and striker Zola was unlucky when he struck the woodwork after the break.| Hereford United | Team Statistics | Tranmere Rovers |
