Barker hoping to be fit to face former club

Stefan Moore has left Queens Park Rangers after the striker's contract was cancelled. The 24-year-old moved to Loftus Road in 2005 from Aston Villa, but has struggled to make an impact with the Championship side. He scored just three goals in 42 appearances for the club, but has been released by manager Luigi De Canio with immediate effect.

Barker surgery

Meanwhile, QPR defender Chris Barker is hoping he will be fit to face former club Cardiff City next week. Barker has undergone a hernia operation and is battling to recover in time for next Tuesday's trip to Ninian Park. "I've had the problem for about a month and we've been waiting for this gap in the fixtures to get it dealt with," Barker told QPR's official website. "In October I played the full match against Ipswich after a ten-day break, so I've got a chance."
