Argentine keen on move to MLS
Marcelo Gallardo has ended his contract with Paris Saint German, according to the player's agent.
The Argentine signed at Parc des Princes from River Plate in January 2007, but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the first-team.
Gallardo's agent Juan Berros says the midfielder will not return to Argentina, despite interest from San Lorenzo.
Instead, the 32-year-old is keen on a move to Major League Soccer, with Washington reportedly interested in securing his services.
Thankful
"Marcelo will not return to Argentina," Berros explained.
"He is very thankful to the coach of San Lorenzo (Ramon Diaz) for his offer. What San Lorenzo offered was very interesting.
"But Marcelo prefers to play in the MLS. It (San Lorenzo's offer) was a little bit less than what he has been offered from the MLS.
"He does not know which team he will play for yet."
