Benin coach Reinhard Fabisch claims he was asked to help fix an African Nations game.
Fabisch approached by man urging team to throw game
Benin coach Reinhard Fabisch has claimed he was asked to help fix the outcome of one of his team's matches in the Africa Cup of Nations .
Fabisch says he was approached two days before Monday's 1-0 defeat to Mali by a man with an offer at the team's hotel.
Fabisch said: "He wanted to find out from me if there was any possibility of manipulating the match.
"I told him: 'Look, you have two minutes to leave the hotel or I will call the police'."
Fabisch added that he has warned his players to be on guard for similar approaches.
The German said: "I think that African players are vulnerable to this kind of approach, because many of them don't have money.
"This is why poor countries like Benin are targeted.
"I cut him short and told him to leave. It doesn't help football."
Benin are back in action on Friday when they play Ivory Coast in Sekondi.
