Scholar's hard work earns him contract
Norwich have signed teenager Damon Lathrope on a two-and-a-half-year professional deal.
Midfielder Lathrope, an academy scholar, has trained with boss Glenn Roeder's first-team squad this season and featured for the reserves.
"About two or three weeks ago I travelled with the first team to Crystal Palace and the manager spoke to me and said he would be talking to me about my contract soon," he told the club's website.
"He said I needed to keep working hard, and a few weeks later he brought me in before training and gave me the contract, which I was more than happy to receive."
