Shaun Derry has left Cambridge United by mutual consent.
The League Two team made the announcement minutes after their goalless draw at home to Lincoln on Friday.
A statement on the Cambridge United website reads: "Shaun Derry will be leaving the club by mutual consent.
"The club would like to place on record its thanks to Shaun for all his hard work and commitment during the last two years."
Derry commented: "I would like to wish Cambridge United and Paul Barry all the best for the future as he takes over ownership of the club.
"I would also like to thank everyone connected to the club for making the last two years memorable."
Joe Dunne and Mark Bonner will take temporary charge of the first team with immediate effect.
Derry took charge at the Abbey Stadium in November 2015, replacing Richard Money.
The 40-year-old, who played for Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United among others, had previously managed Notts County - his hometown club.
