Liverpool came from behind to beat Burnley 2-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Super Sunday.

Ashley Barnes gave the Clarets a deserved lead with a low finish after seven minutes but Georginio Wijnaldum equalised on the stroke of half-time.

Emre Can scored the winner for the hosts, picking out the corner of Tom Heaton's net from 25 yards.

It was the Germany international's first goal of 2017 and only his second league goal at Anfield since November 2014.

The victory keeps Liverpool in fourth place in the table and closes the gap on Tottenham and Manchester City to one point, although both have a game in hand on the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Manchester City next Sunday before the Merseyside derby on April 1.

Meanwhile, Sean Dyche's Burnley sit 12th on 31 points with the visit of Spurs up next.
