Cheltenham confirm capture
Cheltenham have snapped up former player Craig Armstrong on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old, who can operate in defence or midfield, only left the Robins last summer but has re-signed after having his contract at Gillingham cancelled by mutual consent on transfer deadline day.
Cheltenham manager Keith Downing revealed it was Armstrong who contacted the League One side about a deal.
Contribution
"Craig got in touch with us once his contract at Gillingham had been cancelled," Downing told the club's
official website.
"Obviously we know him very well from his two years with us and because of his contribution during that time his availability interested me.
"Having been with us for two years he knows most of the players so there will be no problem with him settling in quickly."
