Ex-Derby man seals Motherwell switch

Mark McGhee has secured the services of former Derby and Rangers player Bob Malcolm until the end of the season. The versatile 27-year-old can play in either defence or midfield, and has made the switch to Motherwell after being released by Derby in January. Malcolm made more than 100 appearances for Rangers before making the move south of the border to Pride Park in September 2006.

Released

However, after only 14 appearances for the East Midlands club Malcolm was loaned out to Championship side QPR - where he played 11 times in this season's campaign. After being released by Derby - Malcolm has agreed terms with Motherwell and will join former Rangers team-mates Ross McCormack, Brian McLean, Stephen Hughes and Graeme Smith at Fir Park. Malcolm will go straight into McGhee's squad to face Aberdeen in the SPL on Wednesday night.
