Striker happy to pledge future to club
Falkirk striker Graham Barrett has signed a new contract to stay with the SPL club until 2009.
Barrett has scored seven goals in 30 appearances for the Bairns since joining John Hughes' side in 2006 from Coventry City.
The 26-year-old had no qualms in pledging his future to Falkirk and is determined to help the club progress over the next 18 months.
"I am delighted to have extended my stay with the club," Barrett told the club's
official website.
Strong desire
"I have continually said that I have a strong desire to do well for this club and help us get to the next level.
"The side is very young and I truly believe that it can achieve some fantastic results in the future."
Falkirk manager Hughes is confident that Barrett has plenty more to offer, saying: "Graham has done very well this season for us and I am delighted that he has chosen to stay with us for a longer period.
"By his own admission he still has a bit to go in terms of fitness and sharpness, but that is only natural given what he has come through.
"He will get there and continue to go from strength to strength, of that I have no doubt."
