Coach to stay on
Vitesse Arnhem have finally confirmed that coach Ad de Mos will be staying on at the Gelredome.
There has been a fractious relationship between coach and club in recent weeks, but the two have now ironed out their differences.
De Mos will now at least see out his current deal, which runs until 2009 and the club are insistent that they are now fully focused on achieving the highest possible finish in the Eredivisie.
"It is important that we have created clarity and that everybody, the players and staff in front, can concentrate themselves again on football and on the ninth position," said technical director Marc van Hintum.
De Mos was pleased to put recent wranglings behind them and said: "The foundation has been laid for a good finish this season, that will hopefully result in European football next season."
Takak
Meanwhile, the club will be discussing the future of midfielder Jasar Takak in the coming days.
The 26-year-old's current deal expires in the summer and he has not been used much by de Mos this term.
"We will sit around the table with him this week. I first want to speak about that with the player before I make any announcements," said van Hintum.
