Harry Kane insists a slight knock to his knee is "fine" after his hat-trick sent Tottenham through to the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The 23-year-old striker picked up a slight issue with the joint in the Europa League last-32 first-leg defeat at Gent on Thursday.
He nevertheless started in the 3-0 FA Cup fifth-round victory at Craven Cottage on Sunday and says he was always ready to start the game.
Kane told BBC Sport: "It was fine. It was only a clash of knees in the game. So it was about icing it, compressing it, and making sure it was ready for the weekend.
"I want to play every game. The gaffer makes the choice and I was ready to start."
Pochettino also insisted he did not take a risk in starting Kane just three days after the trip to Gent.
He said: "He got a knock, but it wasn't bad. He arrived in very good condition to play today. We didn't take a risk."
Kane fired Spurs into a 1-0 half-time lead from close range before adding the second and third after half-time and was substituted off for Moussa Sissoko.
England striker Kane has scored 19 goals in all competitions for Spurs this season including 14 in the Premier League.
