Peterborough hope to continue title tilt

Grimsby will be without Peter Till, James Hunt and Gary Jones for their last home match against title chasing Peterborough. Winger Till twisted his knee while scoring the opener at Bradford last week, while midfielder Hunt has finally succumbed to an Achilles problem after managing the injury in recent weeks and he will not play again this season. Fellow midfielder Jones is also looking to recover fitness in time for pre-season training after undergoing surgery to resolve a foot injury earlier this week. Manager Alan Buckley could turn to Peter Bore in Till's absence, while striker Danny North came through a midweek reserve-team run-out unscathed after tendonitis in his knee and could be recalled. Buckley has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side look to halt a run of five successive league defeats.

Posh unchanged

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson will name an unchanged side as his League One-bound outfit travel to Blundell Park. Posh secured promotion last weekend with a 1-0 win at Hereford and still have an outside chance of wrestling the title from rivals Milton Keynes Dons if they can secure maximum points from their remaining two fixtures. Striker Liam Hatch will miss the rest of the season after picking up an injury to the back of his knee, but Craig Mackail-Smith returned from his sciatica problems to last 88 minutes of the win at Edgar Street and will again partner Aaron Mclean. Left-back Jamie Day is also out with a groin problem so Tom Williams will continue to deputise. Shane Blackett is back in training after his thigh injury but is unlikely to be rushed back while Kieran Charnock is fit after his knee trouble.
