Forest Green's Charlie Cooper and his father Mark – the club's manager – were sent off during the League Two game at home to Wycombe Wanderers on New Year's Day.
Cooper was shown a red card by referee Antony Coggins for stamping on a Wycombe Wanderers player, after 39 minutes of their League Two game at Nailsworth.
Following the sending off, Cooper's father Mark, protested the decision and was sent to the stands.
Forest Green, who were trailing 1-0 at the time, fell a further goal behind a few minutes later and went on to lose 2-1 at home. They remain bottom of the table.
Wycombe, for whom Matt Bloomfield and Craig Mackail-Smith were on target, are well placed in the play-off places.
