Eric Gerets has reiterated his intention to remain in charge of Marseille for the foreseeable future.
The Ligue 1 giants are set to end another season empty-handed, and have failed to launch a serious bid for a first league title in 16 years.
However, they remain in the race for a UEFA Champions League place and are expected to bring in a host of new faces over the summer.
Gerets admits that his squad needs some fine tuning, and is banking on snatching third place in the table in order to make Marseille a more appealing proposition to potential transfer targets.
"Of course I will be at the club next season," the Belgian told
L'Equipe.
"I can assure you that I will be more demanding with the players though.

"There will be a different atmosphere and whole new style of preparation heading into next year.
"It will be difficult for the players. We will work more as a group.
"Also, the board have promised me that we will look to bring some top players in. I will be looking for players that I can utilise at their best immediately.
"If we can get third position then it will open more doors. In my list there are big players, people I respect a lot. There are four players I want, no more.
"The officials have promised me that they will do their best to ensure that we compete next term. I want to be a champion with this team."
Marseille head into their final game of the season, at home to Strasbourg, one point behind Nancy, the current occupants of third spot.
