Highlights of the Sky Bet League Two game between Macclesfield and Oldham.

Macclesfield recovered from a poor start to see off Oldham with a 2-1 win at Moss Rose.

Latics raced out of the blocks to take a first-minute lead, with Urko Vera making a huge impact in his debut.

With less than 15 seconds played, Miles Welch-Hayes' hand blocked a shot from Oldham's Callum Lang and Vera stepped up to slot in the resulting penalty. Goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara got plenty on Vera's spot-kick but the ball rebounded in via the crossbar.

But Macclesfield will have been pleased with their first-half performance, even more so in stoppage time when Harry Smith tried his luck and beat Dan Iverson from the edge of the box.

The Silkmen's winner came eight minutes into the second half as Scott Wilson nipped between defender and goalkeeper before producing a neat chip to put the hosts 2-1 ahead.

Michael Rose fired over and Tyrone Marsh was denied by Iverson's save before Gevaro Nepomaceno almost snatched a point for Oldham when he crashed a last-minute shot against O'Hara's crossbar.
