Livingston forward Dolly Menga faces a two-match ban after the SFA offered him a suspension for his alleged headbutt on Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie.

Menga, 25, will miss Livingston's games against Rangers and Motherwell if he accepts the ban but will face a tribunal on November 15 if he rejects the decision.

Menga appeared to move his head towards Christie as they jostled while waiting for a set-piece during Sunday's 0-0 draw at Parkhead but referee Kevin Clancy failed to spot the incident and only spoke to both players.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said after the game that he felt Menga should have been sent off for the incident.

Christie, who recently signed a new three-year deal at Celtic, said the incident took him by surprise.

"We want to cut that kind of thing out of football completely and rightly so," he said. "There was no build up to it or anything like that, it just came out of nowhere.
