Bundesliga new-boys sign tough midfielder

Borussia Monchengladbach have signed Israeli international midfielder Gal Alberman. The 25-year-old Beitar Jersulamen star put pen to paper on a four-year deal at the Borussia Park on Monday. The Bundesliga new-boys signed the player, who has won 18 caps for his country, after both clubs finally agreed an unnamed fee. Sport director Christian Ziege told the Foals' official website:"Gal is an absolute team player and has been one of the best players in Israel in recent years. "His fitness and his strength in the tackle mean that he can be used to great advantage in both defensive and offensive midfield." He is Gladbach's third new signing of the summer following Karim Matmour from SC Freiburg and AJ Auxerre's Jean-Sebastien Jaures.
