Striker fails to agree new contract at Lincoln
Jamie Forrester has agreed to join Notts County after turning down a new contract at Lincoln City.
The experienced striker had been offered a new deal at Sincil Bank, but was unable to settle on terms.
He has now accepted a two-year contract at League Two rivals County, much to the delight of Meadow Lane boss Ian McParland.
"I'm delighted Jamie has agreed to join us," McParland told the club's
official website.
"He had the opportunity to stay at Lincoln, but has chosen to join us and I'm looking forward to seeing his name appear regularly on our score-sheet next season.
"Although he's 33, he is still a fit lad who chalks up the appearances every year and is also a chirpy character who will be good for our dressing room."
Forrester scored 37 goals in 101 appearances for Lincoln after originally joining the club on loan from Bristol Rovers in March 2006.
