Barnet accept £250,000 fee for winger
Plymouth Argyle have agreed a £250,000 deal to sign Barnet winger Jason Puncheon.
The Championship club have confirmed Puncheon will move to Home Park on a two-year contract when the transfer window officially opens on 1st July.
Puncheon passed a medical last Friday and Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock is delighted with his new signing, who turns 22 next week.
"I am delighted that Jason is coming to the football club," Sturrock told the club's
official website.
"We have had him watched two or three times and I am confident he can make the step up to the Championship.
Exciting
"He is an exciting player who will bring something different to our squad."
During two seasons with Barnet, Puncheon has established himself as one of the brightest talents in the lower leagues.
He was the subject of a failed bid from Leeds United in January and has offered his gratitude to Barnet for putting his career back on track.
"I would like to say thank you very much to the Barnet fans, the chairman and the manager, particularly for helping me through the rough time I had personally," Puncheon told Barnet's
official website.
"I am, of course, happy to get a move to be able to show my abilities at a higher level, but, at the same time, I am sorry to be leaving such a good band of supporters and a chairman and a manager who gave me a chance."
