Crewe Alexandra have snapped up Aldershot's promising winger Joel Grant in a £130,000 deal.
Grant has signed a three-year contract with the League One club, just 12 months after joining Aldershot on a permanent basis from Watford.
He helped the club to promotion back to the Football League and Shots chairman John McGinty admits he could not block the club record sale.
"This is a fantastic deal for the club and for Joel Grant," McGinty told the club's
official website.
"We could not stand in his way as it is a great opportunity for him. Joel travelled back from holiday in Jamaica especially to sign the deal.
"We wish Joel every success in his career and thank him for the service that he gave the club."
The Jamaica Under 20 international is Crewe's second signing of the summer following the arrival of young goalkeeper Adam Legzdins from Birmingham City.
