Striker confident he has made the right choice

Andy Morrell says he held talks with Cheltenham Town before signing a deal with Bury. The experienced striker has finalised a two-year contract with Bury after rejecting the chance to stay with Blackpool. He was attracting interest from several clubs, but is confident he has made the right choice in moving to Gigg Lane. "It was a quick move for me, the interest came last week and moved fairly quickly from there," Morrell told the club's official website. "There were a couple of teams after me, but I made the decision on Friday night after I had been down here. "I've also been to Cheltenham to speak to them, but this one just felt right."

Prolific goalscorer

Meanwhile, Blackpool boss Simon Grayson believes that Bury have secured a 'fantastic' signing in Morrell. He told the club's official website: "Andy's been a fantastic servant for this football club and he's contributed hugely in our success over the past two years. "I wish Andy well. I think Bury have got a fantastic signing - a prolific and proven goalscorer. "I'm glad he's got sorted and decided on his future because while he's been training with us all over pre-season he's worked his socks off."
