Winger moves to Oakwell for next month
Barnsley have signed winger Gary Teale on a month-long loan deal from Championship rivals Derby County.
Teale had not featured in Derby's opening two games of the new season and finished the last campaign on loan at Plymouth Argyle.
Plymouth had been keen on a permanent deal for Teale, but the reported £500,000 fee prompted Paul Sturrock to shelve his interest.
The Scotland international has now secured a move to Oakwell and could feature in Saturday's game against Coventry City.
"We are delighted to have brought Gary into the squad," Barnsley boss Simon Davey told the club's
official website.
"He is a player with experience of winning promotions from this division and played in the Premier League last season."
Teale's arrival will help to compensate for the absence of Jamal Campbell-Ryce, who is out for a few weeks with a dislocated elbow.
