Ludovic Giuly concedes that his international career with France would appear to be over.
The midfielder has won 17 caps for his country, but has not featured for a considerable amount of time.
He missed Euro 2004 through injury, while he was omitted from the French squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
He was once again overlooked for the European Championship this summer, a tournament in which his countryman failed to impress.
The former Monaco man returned to his homeland during the close season when he left Roma for Paris St Germain.
However, the 32-year-old admits that he does not expect his homecoming to be rewarded with a recall to the national side.

"I signed for PSG because I wanted to come back to France and because the club showed that they really wanted me," Giuly told
L'Equipe.
"I am here to win something and to play in the Champions League. We are building a team which is capable.
"We have a quality group, with players who have big desire to do well. We don't play to finish in the bottom half. Maybe we will not be in the top three, but we will not be far away.
"The French team is the only problem I have had since I moved abroad. I have missed the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008.
"It is difficult to swallow, but it is in the past. I am a professional, so I always think of making the national team.
"However, I was not called up as a European Champion (with Barcelona in 2004), so I don't see that changing just because I have signed for Paris."
