Hernanes - Recommended by

The scout reports...
Hernanes can play as central midfield or an attacking midfielder and is often the playmaker.
Fairly tall, with a medium build, he plays centrally as part of a four-man midfield.
Two footed, but preferring his right, he is neat and tidy when in possession, spraying some well directed passes out wide to switch and stretch the play, where he retains the ball well when under pressure and looking to keep play ticking over in the middle.
He is occasionally caught on the back foot and allows his runner to get the wrong side of him when tracking back to defend, however, mostly he shows good athletism and determination in his closing down.
At Sao Paulo he is mentioned as the new Rai and even some see in him a possible Fernando Redondo in the future - Chelsea and Barcelona are very keen.
The scout says
Sao Paulo officials are betting to have in 2010 an entire squad with players raised in their youth divisions but Hernanes seems to have taken a short cut and is currently demonstrating that he isn't no longer a revelation and that he is the real deal.
