Former Blade begins new challenge
Craig Short has joined Sheffield United's sister team Ferencvaros as assistant trainer to Bobby Davison.
The former Derby, Everton and Blackburn player's appointment has been confirmed by the
official website of the club.
The 40-year-old, who hung up his boots last year with the Blades, is willing to play in the defence of the side if needed, according to reports.
His appointment comes as the side - which is the most successful Hungarian team with 28 league titles - defeated rivals Szolnok 8-1 last week.
Former Barnsley player Istvan Ferenczi scored a hat-trick, while Paul Shaw also netted twice.
Speculation in Hungary suggests that the Blades maybe interested in Ferenczi in the winter transfer period as the striker has scored 11 goals in his six appearances for Ferencvaros this season.
