Managerless Grimsby grab point

Grimsby caretaker boss Stuart Watkiss saw his side earn a 1-1 draw at Morecambe.

Mariners earn share of the spoils

Grimsby caretaker boss Stuart Watkiss saw his side earn their first point of his reign as they drew 1-1 at Morecambe. The Mariners, without a manager after Alan Buckley was sacked this week, came close to sealing their first win in 14 games after an early Peter Till penalty. But a late header from Wayne Curtis helped Morecambe extend their unbeaten run to four games. Till converted from the spot after Ryan McCann had bundled over Danny Boshell for the highlight of an awful first half. Substitute Curtis then equalised for the Shrimps with 15 minutes remaining as he nodded home Craig Stanley's free kick.
