Isaiah Osbourne has become the latest Villa player to sign a new long-term deal at the club.

Midfielder tipped for bright future by O'Neill

Isaiah Osbourne has become the latest Aston Villa player to sign a new long-term deal at the club. In recent weeks, John Carew, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Craig Gardner and Wilfred Bouma have all pledged their futures to Villa. Promising midfielder Osbourne has now followed suit by signing a contract to stay at Villa Park until 2011. Villa boss Martin O'Neill was keen to resolve the future of the 21-year-old, whose deal was due to expire at the end of the season.

Fantastic attitude

"I am delighted Isaiah has signed," O'Neill told the club's official website. "He has ability and great strength and his attitude has been fantastic this season. "His contract was running out and we wanted to renew it. "We think he has a future here and importantly, so does Isaiah." Osbourne has made 24 appearances for Villa since making his debut against Fulham in October 2006, with his sole outing to date this season coming in the Uefa Cup against Hafnarfjordur.
