Queens Park Rangers striker Rowan Vine has undergone further surgery on his fractured leg injury.
Vine, who signed for QPR from Birmingham City in January on a permanent basis after an impressive loan spell, broke his leg in training back in April.
The 26-year-old has endured a difficult recovery period since the blow and has now gone under the knife in a bid to rectify the problem once and for all.
Head physio Paul Hunter said on the club's
official website: "Part of the fracture in his tibia hasn't responded as quickly as we'd have liked and as a result Rowan has undergone further surgery.

"We took advice and consultation from a number of surgeons and they were all of the opinion that surgery was the best option in this case. The surgery went as well as we could have expected, with no complications.
"Rather than let nature take care of it, we're hoping and praying that by having this surgery, it will speed up the healing process."
Hunter added: "It's impossible to predict how long he'll be sidelined for.
"Rowan is hugely annoyed, but he's been first class throughout the whole rehabilitation process and he needs to maintain that attitude now.
"Of course it's frustrating, but we're all behind him in a bid to get him back into the fold as soon as possible."
