Volendam claimed only their second victory of the Eredivisie season as they beat fellow strugglers Roda JC 3-1. Paul de Lange opened the scoring for bottom-of-the-table Volendam after just six minutes. Roda, in their first match under new coach Harm van Veldhoven, equalised through Andres Oper ten minutes later. Yannick de Wit restored Volendam's lead five minutes before the break and Bernard Hofstede secured the win in the 52nd minute. The result lifts Volendam level on points with De Graafschap, while Roda are just two points and one place ahead.
