Real Madrid have confirmed Klaas Jan Huntelaar has successfully passed his medical at the club.
The Spanish champions announced on Tuesday evening that a deal had been agreed to sign the striker from Ajax in January.
Huntelaar will cost Real an initial £17million, rising to £23million, with the Holland international accepting a contract until 2013.
He was in Madrid on Wednesday to undergo a medical, having recently been sidelined by an ankle injury.
Following the tests, Real confirmed that Huntelaar, who will provide cover in the absence of injured compatriot Ruud van Nistelrooy, is in 'optimum form'.
"Tests determined Huntelaar is fit for the practice of sport," Real's head of medical staff Carlos Diez told the club's
official website.
"He is in optimum form.
"The medical exam and the reports of Dr Van Dyck prove that the recovery stage of the injury he sustained is now over."
