Nicky Nicolau has put pen-to-paper on a new deal at Barnet to take him through to the end of the season.

Nicky Nicolau has put pen-to-paper on a new deal at Barnet to take him through to the end of the season. The midfielder left the Bees at the end of the 2007/08 season and trained with Grimsby over the summer. He returned to Barnet on a non-contract basis in September, admitting that he never should have left in the first place. Nicolau has now been rewarded with an improved deal and will stay with the club for the rest of their League Two campaign. The 25-year-old, a former Arsenal youth player, turned down an offer from Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus during the summer as he would have had to complete national service.
