Argentinean star insists he never wants to leave Madrid

Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has expressed his desire to stay at the club for the remainder of his career. Aguero joined the La Liga outfit in the summer of 2006 for £15million from boyhood team Independiente in his native Argentina. The striker has become one of the most feared in Europe after forming a formidable partnership with former Manchester United player Diego Forlan. The 20-year-old has scored 14 times in all competitions this season, helping fire Atletico to third in the league, a point ahead of city rivals Real. The Argentina international's sparkling form has sparked rumours that Europe's big clubs are circling but the youngster, who won Olympic gold with his country in the summer, has put Atletico fans' minds at rest. "The club reached an agreement with IMG, the company that manages me, to extend my contract until 2012." he told Uefa's official website. "I know they will work together on the exploitation of my image rights, there's a good understanding between the parties. "All the signs are that I will stay here for a long time, and I'm really happy about that. "I'm enjoying it here and I never want to leave, because Atletico was the first club to welcome me in Europe."
