Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dale Roberts has signed a permanent contract with Rushden & Diamonds after impressing while on loan this season. Roberts joined from Forest last season, making 19 appearances, before returning to the City Ground as the 2007/08 season drew to a close. This campaign Roberts moved on loan again in October as cover for Alan Marriott who was facing stomach surgery. Dale has made 18 appearances so far this term, conceding 22 times, with five clean sheets.
