Bolton's new signing Sebastien Puygrenier has admitted that it did not take him long to decide to sign on at the Reebok.
Puygrenier has signed on loan until the end of the season from Uefa Cup holders Zenit St Petersburg.
The defender only signed for Zenit in July 2008 penning a four-year deal, but after just 15 appearances in Russia the 26-year-old admitted that he jumped at the chance to come to England.
Puygrenier's arrival could spell the end of Gary Megson's interest in West Ham defender Calum Davenport who had looked to close to agreeing a deal with the club.
The Frenchman has played for Rennes and Nancy in his native country and featured in this season's Uefa Super Cup victory over Manchester United in August for Zenit.
"I really like English football and I'm happy to be here," he told the

"When I heard that Bolton Wanderers were interested in me, I immediately got on a flight with my agent to do the deal straight away.
"This is a big opportunity and I want to take it with both hands. I want to prove that I can play in England and hopefully I will be able to stay longer than until the end of the season.
"Bolton are a good English club and they have a good tradition with French footballers.
"The Reebok Stadium looks like a great place to play football and there seems to be a good ambience between the players and the staff.
"French and Russian football is different to that in England, but I believe that my background with the two different styles will help me adapt over here.
"I had a good experience when I played against Manchester United in the Uefa Super Cup and so hopefully that will continue."
