Millers defender goes unpunished for challenge on Bees ace

Rotherham defender Pablo Mills has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Football Association for his challenge on Brentford striker Nathan Elder. The incident in question occurred last Saturday during the 0-0 draw between the two sides at the Don Valley Stadium. Both challenged for an aerial ball on the edge of the Rotherham area with Mills' elbow crashing into the 23-year-old's left eye. The defender was not booked by the referee but the Bees ace was taken to hospital where it was discovered that he had suffered multiple injuries to his face including no vision in his left eye. Elder is not expected to be able to see out of the eye for several months and manager Andy Scott, who went to the hospital with the forward, had demanded the FA to take action. The Millers defender revealed that he went to see Elder after the game to check on his condition and insisted that he meant no malice.
