Midfielder leaves Bundesliga outfit after fall-out

Roda Antar has joined China's Shandong Luneng after securing a release from Cologne. The Lebanese international midfielder has moved on after he fell out of favour with manager Christoph Daum. He also upset the club's owners when he went AWOL three weeks ago, although the door had been left open for him to return, with sporting director Michael Meier telling Bild that he would welcome the 28-year-old back if he improved his attitude. However the player was adamant he had no future at the club and the Bundesliga side has now agreed to release Antar to Shandong for an undisclosed fee. Cologne said on their official website: "Midfielder Roda Antar has joined Chinese first division club Shandong Luneng with immediate effect. "It was agreed not to reveal financial details."
