Elsewhere in Italy's top flight there were impressive performances from Atalanta, Chievo and Palermo.

Napoli. Bernardo Corradi opened the scoring in the 26th minute but Reggina were denied a three-point haul when Ezequiel Lavezzi found a leveller in the second half.
Sampdoria and
Roma played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Julio Baptista opened the scoring for Roma in the 17th minute, only for Giampaolo Pazzini to level and then give Samp the lead. Roma showed plenty of resilience though to restore parity, as Baptista got his second of the afternoon from the penalty spot 20 minutes from time.
Udinese substitute Fabio Quagliarella (71) was his side's hero off the bench as his goal cancelled out Giuseppe Mascara's (25) effort for
Catania.
