Winger claims agreement

Dutch ace Eljero Elia has confirmed his intention to leave FC Twente in the summer. The 22-year-old winger has attracted the attention of a host of clubs this season and skysports.com revealed in January that he was wanted by a number of Premier League sides. But interest is now emerging from all over Europe with German and Spanish sides taking a close look, along with Dutch giants Ajax. Elia only signed a new five-year deal last year, but he has revealed that there is an agreement in place with Steve McClaren's side which will enable him to leave.

Agreement

"That's the deal I made with the club," Elia told Dutch magazine Sportweek. "In the summer they have to sell me, I want to make a good step at the end of the season and that will happen. "It could be a move to a foreign side, but also to a Dutch club. Ajax? Everything is an option: I am willing to listen. "The most important thing is that I will become a better player."
