Struggling Bulls look to boost survival chances by signing midfielder

Hereford have completed the loan signing of Shrewsbury midfielder Marc Pugh until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. The 21-year-old has fallen out of favour at the League Two side having made just eight appearances all season and none since 21st February. The former Burnley youngster spent a short period at the start of the season on loan at Luton, where he spent a month making four appearances in the process. Bulls have swooped for the youngster as they look to bolster a squad that is staring at an immediate return to the Football League's basement division. Hereford sit second bottom in League One, eight points from safety, but will be encouraged with a win over Carlisle in their last outing that ended a run of five straight league defeats. "Marc is down the pecking order here so the move is a good one for him," Shews boss Paul Simpson said. "We'll see how things go until the end of the season then take another look at it."
