U21s draw 1-1 after Casement header cancels out Ukraine penalty
Chris Casement's late equaliser saw Northern Ireland Under 21s earn a deserved 1-1 draw in Tuesday's friendly with Ukraine in Portadown.
The visitors took the lead in the 36th minute after Scott Gibb was penalised for a challenge on Roman Zozulia in the province's penalty area.
Levgenenii Konoplianka sent goalkeeper Trevor Carson the wrong way from the resulting spot-kick.
But Northern Ireland then put the visitors on the back foot for most of the second half before Casement's equaliser.
It came when the on-loan Wycombe defender headed home in the 71st minute after Jonny Taylor flicked on a Martin Donnelly free-kick.
