Youngster signs two-year contract

Norwich City midfielder Michael Spillane has signed a new two-year deal with the club. The 20-year-old impressed Canaries boss Bryan Gunn whilst on loan with Johnstone's Paint Trophy winners Luton. Having seen the youngster put in a number of creditable performances for the Hatters, Gunn was keen to secure his services for the foreseeable future. Spillane, who came through the youth ranks at Carrow Road, expressed his delight in sealing a new deal.

Thrilled

"I'm delighted to sign my contract and stay at Norwich - I came through the youth system and it's great to carry on here," he told the club's official website. "Luton were relegated on Monday so that's at the back of my mind but I'm very happy to be coming back to Norwich next season. "Being with Luton has done me the world of good. I've been playing every week and loved my time with them."
