Sow heads winner to see off Grenoble in tense semi-final

Rennes clinched a place in the French Cup final for the first time in 38 years after a 1-0 win over Grenoble. Moussa Sow scored the only goal of the game on 21 minutes as the Brittany side overcame a spirited Grenoble effort. The decisive goal arrived after Grenoble keeper Ronan Le Crom failed to deal with Olivier Thomert's attempt and Sow nodded home. Grenoble almost equalised before half-time, but Pierre Boya's well-struck shot crashed off the crossbar. Sow thought he had netted his second of the night after half-time, but his header was ruled out for offside. Rennes held on until the final whistle and will now play either Toulouse or Guingamp in the final, with those two clubs meeting in the last four on Wednesday.
