PSV continue fine form while FC Twente pinch late point

PSV Eindhoven recorded a fifth straight win as they defeated Heracles Almelo 2-0 at Philips Stadion. Balasz Dzsudzsak and Danny Koevermans swept in the winning goals to ensure the club climbed to fourth in the table. Heerenveen guaranteed at least a fifth-placed finish in the Eredivisie despite seeing FC Twente's Theo Janssen steal a 90th-minute equaliser in Saturday's 1-1 draw. The sides contest the KNVB Beker final next month and this was the home team's chance to avenge their 6-0 humbling in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. After a goalless first half it looked as if Paulo Henrique had won it for them 13 minutes from time, but Janssen levelled at the last. NEC Nijmegen's hopes of a European place took a blow after they conceded a last-gasp goal to lose 3-2 at home to out-of-form NAC Breda. NAC had lost their last four league games without scoring a goal but they bagged three through Kees Kwakman, Nourdin Boukhari and Anthony Lurling, the last coming deep into injury time after Lasse Schone's double had brought NEC level. The defeat means NEC stay 10th in the Eredivisie table, two points outside the European play-off places, the last of which NAC now occupy after leapfrogging their opponents. Boldiszar Bodor went from hero to villain for Roda JC as the Kerkrade outfit relinquished their lead late on against fellow relegation candidates FC Volendam to draw 1-1. The Hungary defender opened the scoring after 26 minutes but was then sent off 14 minutes later, leaving Roda to see out the second half with 10 men. Numbers were evened up two minutes after the restart when Yannick de Wit was dismissed for a second bookable offence, but the visitors nevertheless went away with a point thanks to substitute Melvin Platje's 83rd-minute equaliser.
