Blues boss warns ageing stars ahead of last-four meeting

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has warned his ageing players that this season could prove to be their final chance of UEFA Champions League glory. The Blues reached last campaign's showpiece in Moscow only to lose to Premier League rivals Manchester United on penalties. A number of the club's personnel are now playing in the latter stages of their careers, and Hiddink has challenged his charges to take this term's opportunity with both hands. Hiddink said on Sky Sports News: "It is obvious that this team is good, the players have a lot of desire and they proved that in previous Champions League seasons. "These players don't have five, six or seven more years to get the same chances that they have had in previous years. "It is very respectable that Chelsea made it in the last five years into semi-finals and a final. That is a sign that this club has big ambitions. "But, to be honest, of course this is one of the last occasions for many players to get to where they want to be." Chelsea host Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports 2 & HD2, having drawn the first meeting 0-0.
