Cheltenham Town

Sky Sports is launching a survey to find out the best player ever to wear a Cheltenham shirt - and we would like you to get involved.
We are asking fans of each of the 92 English League teams and 12 Scottish Premier League sides to nominate their all-time favourite footballers.
Although only a Football League club for the first time in 1999, Cheltenham have a long history having been formed in 1887. Not too much is known about the early days of the club, but those old enough to remember Phil Bach and Peter Goring will recall their moves into the big time with Sunderland and Arsenal respectively - and the fact they both went on to become full England internationals. Maybe they deserve your vote?
Dave Lewis was one of the most prolific goalscorers outside the Football League and his 290 goals in three spells between 1967 and 1983 (including 53 in the 1974-75 campaign alone) surely deserve a nomination? Or what about Roger Thorndale, who played a club record 702 times for the Robins between 1958 and 1976?
It wasn't until the appointment of Steve Cotterill in 1996 that the Robins began making strides up the football ladder, and as a former player for the club, maybe he deserves a nod? Neil Grayson can quite rightly be regarded as a Robins legend, having spent five seasons at the club between 1998 and 2002 and scored 17 goals in their promotion-winning season of 1999-2000. But has he done enough to be regarded as an All-time great?
After establishing themselves in the Football League, the likes of Martin Devaney (who made over 200 appearances for the club), Michael Duff (who also represented Northern Ireland) and Jamie Victory (who spent 11 seasons at Whaddon Road) all became huge crowd favourites, so perhaps they deserve recognition?
And what about more recent crowd pleasers - Grant McCann (still the club's most expensive signing and a Northern Ireland international), Steve Guinan (who scored the winning goal in the 2006 League Two play-off final), Steven Gillespie (who at £400,000 is the club's record sale) and Jerry Gill, who made 180 appearances for the club, many as captain. Are any of those worthy of your vote?
To make your selection, please complete the form below and tell us why you are putting your chosen nominee forward.
Once we have received all your nominations, we will narrow down the selections for each side to the 10 leading candidates. You can then vote for your personal favourite.
After all votes are cast, we will reveal the winners ahead of the 2009/10 season and crown Cheltenham's greatest-ever player!
