Croatia coach interested in replacing Strachan

Slaven Bilic has expressed an interest in the Celtic job and is keen to talk to the SPL giants, according to his agent. Celtic are in the market for a new boss after Gordon Strachan stepped down on Monday following the failure to win the title. Strachan has reportedly nominated Mark McGhee as his preferred successor, while the likes of Owen Coyle and Tony Mowbray have been linked with the job. Former Everton and West Ham United defender Bilic has now put his name in the frame as he looks for a new challenge. Bilic is currently the Croatia coach, but his agent - former Celtic defender Rudi Vata - says his client is willing to discuss the Parkhead role with the Bhoys. "Slaven is certainly available to talk to Celtic, but we have not heard anything," said Vata. "He would be keen for a new challenge and is well aware of the club and the passion of its supporters. "He thinks he could take Celtic to the next level. We will wait and see."
