Frechman's Milan move is case closed

FC Porto chairman Pinto da Costa has declared that Aly Cissokho will not leave the club for an offer worth less than their €15 million stated valuation. The full-back's representative, Roger Boli, claimed on Wednesday he was positive of his charge's transfer to AC Milan after talks between the two clubs had been resumed. Reports in Portugal had suggested Porto were willing to lower their asking price for the player in order to keep Milan interested in the deal. However, the Portuguese champions' president has now batted away these stories, insisting the club are standing firm over the price they want for Cissokho. "We do not have the habit, when we make a signing or sell players, to feed romances," Pinto da Costa told the Portuguese press. "There was a serious signing attempt, and another one which was all talk and no action." "They [Milan] came with an offer to lower the transfer to €10million. I rejected that offer right away. "If they want the player, the deal is closed. If they do not want, there is no problem, because it was not me who wanted to sell him, it was them who wanted to buy him."

Better

Meanwhile, Pinto da Costa, who insisted that Porto knew of Cissokho's teeth problems, has warned Milan that €15m will not be enough to sign the defender next term as his valuation will soar. He noted: "If they came with the offer that was accepted, we could think. For one euro less than what was agreed, he will not leave because we count on the player next season. "We are sure he will be even better and when the time for him to leave comes, if AC Milan come with an offer of €15 million, then they will not get him."
